Description.

Adam’s Peak, also known as Sri Pada, is a sacred mountain in central Sri Lanka, rising to 2,243 meters (7,359 feet). Revered by Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, and Muslims alike, it is famed for the sacred footprint at its summit—believed by Buddhists to be that of the Buddha, by Hindus as Shiva’s, and by Christians and Muslims as Adam’s. The mountain is a popular pilgrimage site, especially from December to May, with thousands of devotees climbing overnight to witness the breathtaking sunrise. The journey combines spiritual significance with stunning natural beauty, offering panoramic views over forests, rivers, and valleys.
